A very fine hand work forge covered with traditional Japanese Wara-Ibushi わら いぶし patina.

Tsuba very strong and heavy denoted that was make for a real use

Estimated Age: Edo period 江戸時代, Edo jidai) or Tokugawa period (徳川時代, Tokugawa jidai)

Measures:
Diameter: 7,4 - 7,1 cm.
thickness in the center: 0,5 cm.
thickness at the edges: 0,4 cm.

 

Condition: Good condition with a beautiful traditional patina that beautifies the Tsuba and prevents oxidation, which denotes excellen forging quality

 

Honoki (Hinoki 檜 Japanese Cypress) collector box included
